When i first saw this, my thought was "cool". This is the next installment to one of the greatest FPS franchises ever. As you could have worked out it takes place in the year 2142. Which is
actually exactky 200 years after The firste Battlefield game.
Ths has a very unique "storyline". The motive of the war is that ice from atnarctica has spread over the globe and
everyone wants a piece of the land thats left. The world has been split into two military super powers; The European Union
and the Pan Asian Coalition.
The Gameplay promises to be like all the previous games where you have to take over points on a map. But this time you do it with battlemechs, futuristic aircrafts and even stealth suits. The futuristic setting will work well for the series if done right. If they go down the UT2004 road then this will not be a Battlefield game. But if done right, something like Halo 2. Basically it is aloud to be futuristic but if done unrealistic it will fail.
The Graphics don't look amazingly stunning, they just look like a slightly inmproved BF2 engine. I'm not saying its an ugly game, but it doesn't give me that WOW factor that the other
Battlefield gave me.
The Multiplayer Promises to be like BF2 for PC. Where you have a rank and you can unlock new guns, medals etc. The maps can hold up to 64 players, so this is going to be a true war feeling.
This looks alot like id's new FPS Enemy Territory Quake Wars. But being a Battlefield Fan myself this looks like it holds more
promise. We await this eagerly.
